Food - why it matters?
So what do we mean by ‘eating right for your joints?’
Care of the joints is care of the whole human being. The factors that affect joints are the factors that affect your health as a whole, and all of the different systems within your body. Caring for your joints means taking care of all of you, and all of you taking care of your joints.
One of the key areas of care, now shown in many studies to be crucial for healthy joints, is your diet. All tissues, including joints, wear out unless the body is able to repair them regularly. A good diet provides the building blocks we need to repair the joints and keep them strong and healthy.
The good news is that a diet that is good for your joints will be good for the rest of your body too, and hence is likely to help you to live longer, with more energy to do the things that you love doing.
